Legal Clerk

Full-Time, Entry-level
We are looking for a Legal Clerk to assist our Attorneys with day-to-day administrative operations and the oversight of clerical aspects of legal matters.
Responsibilities

Assisting with the preparation, filing and service of pleadings.

Acting as liaison among all parties including court or other neutrals for scheduling and sharing information.

Organizing and managing documents, including the creation of records in database and databank systems.

Coordinating the collection, review and production of documents.

Diarising important deadlines, court dates and client consultations.

Searching court and registry records for necessary information and documents.

Other administrative tasks.
Requirements/Skills
-
Experience in dealing with customers/ clients in a polite and non-abrasive manner at all times.

Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail and the ability to build strong client relationships.

Highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines.

Interest and ability to learn quickly and retain procedural details, as well as to engage in training where necessary to develop legal knowledge and skills.

Reliability and the ability to perform tasks on your own initiative.

Discretion and an understanding of confidentiality issues.
